Concepts & benefits

01How are the inventions and useful solutions different?

Both protect technical solutions. The invention requires novelty, creativity and industrial applicability, protection for 20 years. Useful solutions do not require a level of creativity or 10-year protection.

02How long is the trademark protected?

The Trademark Registration Certificate is valid for 10 years from the date of filing and is renewed several times, each time for 10 years — in fact, it can be protected indefinitely if it is renewed on time.

03Why Register Intellectual Property Early?

Viet Nam applies the principle of “filing first” — who submits first is given priority. Early registration helps avoid the risk of losing your trademark or invention.
